Our home isn't just special because it's located on top of Dorset Mountain in East Dorset, Vermont.  It isn't special because it's nestled between a valley and a dense woodland, with windows that provide a 180 degree view of it all.  It isn't just special because it's minutes away from the ski areas, romantic town fairs, you-pick orchards, and Manchester Outlets for shopping.   It isn't just special because this woodland retreat comes with all the luxuries of a city retreat.  It special because it cantilevers out over over a cliff  and the valley  below for breathtaking views from every vantage point. It's special because it has all of these things..... and even more.
Come home from the Horse Show weary and rest up in our top of the mountain rustic retreat.

The top two stories of the house come with a washer/dryer, three completely stocked bedrooms,  a sofa bed in the living area, two baths (one with a jacuzzi, and the other with a stone shower with a view!), a kitchen with any and every thing you need to create bountiful meals and  then there's the long porch balcony that cantelevers out over the valley, yes the house was built on a cliff.  Stand outside and watch the stars at night. By the way, you can see the horse show from the balconey too. The clear summer skies show off galaxies, star formations, and shooting stars.  Don't worry, top of the mountain breezes keep the house cool all summer long.  If it gets chilly just light up the wood burning stove.

If that weren't enough, and one would think it would be, there is a driveway with a parking area big enough for a horse-trailer.  Moutain hiking trails  are just steps away from the front door, and then there's an outdoor fire pit just ready to roast marshmallows.

Pets and mid-week cleaning are welcome with an additional charges.

The lower apartment houses a manager ready to help you with any trouble.

Outlet shopping is always at its best when you are surrounded by the color of the mountains.

Country Fairs are up and going every weekend.

The ski areas  are ready with summer adventures with in a hop skip and a jump away.


After your day, have dinner out at one of the many fine restaurants nearby or pick up some fresh picked veggies, vermont cheese, vermont beer, and local game, then head back to kick your feet up and relax.
